Tonight is our last night on the east coast. We fly out in the morning and will get back to Klamath tomorrow night. I still have a lot of pictures and comments I want to add in to the blog posts I've already done. Once I'm home and can do some editing on a computer that should be easy. Until then, this has been a good way for me to keep track of our memories as we go along. It's been an awesome trip and a great experience for our family.

Not the KF Library
The New York Public Library is only a few blocks from Grand Central, so we made a quick stop by to take some pictures. The library itself was closed, but there were chairs around outside so people could just hang out. There was also a guy playing the piano under the trees; it's a cool environment.

Knishes, etc.
We went to the East Village and had knishes at Yonah Schimmel's. Yum.
Then on to Grand Central. It's beautiful!

Empire State Building
This is our last day in NYC and we are going to stay as long as we can before heading to our hotel by the airport. We ate breakfast with Liz, Eric, and the kids this morning, then headed to the Empire State Building. I'm not a big fan of the area around it...Korea Town? Dirty and crowded. There's also the gay pride parade down here today, so there are extra people (and lots of rainbows).
Anyway, we're waiting in line going up to the top of the building (eating some of our fudge from Dylan's Candy Bar).
Here are some pictures from up high...
The views from the top were really amazing, but we all agreed that the whole Empire State Building experience was probably our least favorite of the trip- very commercialized.
Now we're off to a different neighborhood to get a knish and a drink. After that, it's on to Grand Central Station, then who knows...

Yankees game
I'm not a super huge baseball fan, but I LOVE live baseball games- such a cool atmosphere.
Final score...8-3
