Full day by 5:00

Spencer and I arrived in Philadelphia about 11:00 and since then we've been on the move. We went to lunch at the Parc on Rittenhouse with Jason's boss from when we lived here before, then toured some REALLY nice condos with him, had amazing cake from a deli he owns (Schlessinger's- go there if you're ever out here), then went to Independence Square for a bit. After a quick glimpse at the Liberty Bell and a bathroom stop (too much information?), we headed down memory lane a bit. We ate gelati (water ice with custard), wandered the streets, and visited our old house (a tiny trinity on Waverly Street). Below are some of our pictures from the day, including a stop to cool out feet in a little fountain.

Broad Street with City Hall and Billy Penn on top.

The boys making wishes at the fountain at Washington Park.

I love Spruce Street-

Another little water spot down at Head House Square by South Street on our way to water ice (I love gelati!).

Our house....

In the middle of our street...

This is the back courtyard of our place. So pretty...

Thomas Jefferson University Hospital; the rehab floor there is one of many places I worked while we lived in Philly- hard core stuff sometimes.

Ahhh, the subway line in the summer- breathe deeply and smell the subtle (okay, not always that subtle) aroma of heat, urine, cleaning supplies, and exhaust. Really, you hardly smell the urine most of the time and the blue line often got us where we needed to be.
